Summary, etc Grâce au dépistage précoce, la taille des cancers du sein est en diminution ce qui permet davantage de traitements conservateurs et moins de traitements complémentaires à l’acte loco-régional. Mais les progrès de l’imagerie amènent de nouvelles questions : quels gestes proposés en cas de lésions infra-cliniques, à quoi sert la classification BIRAD… La prise en charge des patientes se complexifie et les choix thérapeutiques deviennent de plus en plus ardus. Nous tendons à adapter nos traitements au plus près du profil évolutif de la tumeur de chaque patiente : du curage ganglionnaire au ganglion sentinelle, moins de chimiothérapie, irradiations mammaires partielles… Mais comment être certains que nous ne faisons pas courir davantage de risques de rechute aux patientes ? Cet ouvrage reprend les critères de décision validés en 2011 au moment du diagnostic avec la radiologie et aux différentes étapes thérapeutiques sans oublier la dimension psychologique fondamentale de la prise en charge de ces patientes.
