|The foundation of the library and the start of teaching at AUM began together in 2011.The Library occupies distinguished position in the organizational hierarchy of the university due to the services extended and available to AUM researchers and their academic needs. It provides own academic staff and students with sources and references of all kinds and forms.
The Library contributes trains and enhances its library human cadres with Knowledge of the information sources available and updates them on whatever is new in the field of library keeping and managing. The library organizes information sources through the Technical Operation Section in terms of indexing, cataloging and subject analysis using Anglo-American Cataloging Rules (AACR2) and Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC), and International Standard Bibliographic Description (ISBD), and Expanded Thesaurus for Arabic books.
The Library manages its collections by (KOHA), it's an open source Full Integrated Library System (ILS), and supports the MARC 21 and UNMARC fully indexing records bibliographic and authority records, also supports the standards and protocol services Z39.50 with the advantages of copy cataloging and the possibility of importing bibliographical records.
