Open-Innovation -- Regional Innovation Systems -- Entrepreneurial Networks -- Social Capital Promotors.

Benedict C. Doepfer critically analyzes a networked approach to value creation processes of young knowledge-intensive entrepreneurial firms and assesses precise strategies and tactics in a regional context. He introduces the concept of co-innovation competence which he also examines empirically. The research results indicate that entrepreneurs follow a specific approach towards networking: They minimize transaction costs by applying an on-demand-based perspective of networking. In this case entrepreneurs relate to regional innovation promoters as knowledge and relational brokers and also reach beyond regional networks to exploit structural holes.   Inhalt: Open-Innovation Regional Innovation Systems Entrepreneurial Networks Social Capital Promoters   Zielgruppen: Researchers and students in the economic sciences with a focus on innovation and technology management, and economic geography; entrepreneurs.   Der Autor: Benedict C.
